Landscapes of Memory
These paintings are an investigation of how my mind, memories and imagination interact to recall how I experience and process the world. The collection evolved out of an interest in how each person seems to have a different interpretation of the same events. I consciously try to take in the moments of my experience, being fully present, and work to convey what spoke to me most about what I was seeing. I have eliminated any reliance on photographic reference material and embrace the ephemeral quality of my memories.
