Part of my "Landscapes of memory" series, A different kind of quiet by the water of a winter lake is inspired by the recollection of a walk along the edge of a local lake in the depths of winter. There is a different kind of soft quiet that happens in winter that feels a bit like walking through dreams. This original watercolor was painted on archival acid-free cold press 140 lb. watercolor paper and measures 6 x 9 inches.
